Moderate hike, 3 to 5 hours daily walk with full suport, wich means that you only will carry the things you need in the day, bottle of water, camera, etc.
If you are interested in this program but you cannot or do not want to walk, we can organize it with horses.


Day 1:

Early in the morning we will pick you up at your hotel in Santa Marta, and one hour later reach Calabazo, a small rural village located in the limits of the Tayrona National Park. We will start start hiking up the mountain for about an hour until the house of the Mamo Alejandro Nieves, (the Mamos are the spiritual leaders of the Indiens of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta) were we may have the opportunity to receive a spiritual blessing "Aseguranza". From there we will walk two more hours to reach Teyumakke our camp for the night, where we can have a nice swim at the beach; we will have dinner and stay that night in the lodge.


Day 2:

After breakfast we will walk about 40 minutes to reach a beautiful waterfall, unique in its size in all the Tayrona Park, and have a relaxing bath. Return to the camp from where we begin our 2nd day of trek, to first see the arqueological ruins of Pueblito Chairama, it is a about of one and a half hour walk. Chairama has more than 250 terraces made of stones and was the home to 2000 people around the years 450 to 1600. After our visit, we will walk for another hour and a half to the Cabo San Juan de Guia through interesting points of observation for birds and flora. From the cape, we are only 45 minutes from Yuluka, the lodge where we will stay for our second night; on the way we will pass though various beaches where we can swim.

Day 3:

Breakfast at the lodge and then we will walk to the area of Cañaveral, we will see different beaches of the National Park before the reaching our destination; we will visit the Trail of the 9 Stones, a sacred place for the Kogi Indians, about one hour walk where we will learn more about the Kogi spiritual culture. We end our walk in the main area of Cañaveral, then to take the transport to the main entrance and back to Santa Marta.
